R.Automatic fick uppdraget att modernisera styrningen till ett styrsystem från 1986 till ett modernt av 2018-års snitt. Maskinen, en portalrobot – vacuumstaplare-, genomgick förutom en renovering även en anpassning till att kunna betjäna ytterligare en produktionslinje. Traversbalkarna förlängdes och man byggde nytt lyftdon. Den över 30 år gamla vakuumpumpen byttes mot en modern av injektortyp. Istället för mekaniska räkneverk och hastighetsstyrning med hjälp av resistorer, kan nu operatörerna ange värden i mm för positionerna för hämtning och avlämning av plåtarna. Även acceleration, retardation samt hastighet anges som värden och beräknas av PLCn. Vi använde en Beckhoffs PanelPc.
